Female Founded

Commando founder, designer, & CEO Kerry O’Brien
Commando founder, designer & CEO Kerry O’Brien is the face of Commando and the embodiment of a female entrepreneur. Having no formal design background, her unique approach to the fashion industry has broken boundaries and revolutionized an industry. In 2012 Kerry was introduced into the CFDA, and Commando currently holds two patents for innovative design in hosiery and slips.

The Real-Body Fit Test

Rather than fitting a style on a model with standard proportions and simply grading the pattern up and down, we test our garments on all sizes and create unique, custom patterns to optimize fit.

Commando has a rigorous multi-sized fit process that is unique to the industry. Commando founder, designer and CEO Kerry O’Brien personally fit-tests every garment, and if she doesn’t love it, it will not go into production. We call this the “Kerry Test”. Our wear-testing process allows us to determine the feel and performance of a garment during regular wear and on real women.
